behind the scenes

As of fall 2021, I’m an official resident of La Belle Province. The art scene in Montreal has been refreshing. Not only is it one filled with an insane amount of talent, but one that doesn’t pass any judgement based on style or medium. Everyone just feeds off of each other's drive to get better.

I was drawn to this less-than-perfect wall because of its weird composition and texture. It had this real rugged feeling, so I thought it could be cool to write something that would contrast the vibe that the canvas naturally held. On top of that, it was also hidden near this abandoned pool, so I could keep it pretty low key coming back over the course of 2-3 days, and that’s always money. This one incorporates some illustrative roses to co-exist with the bright messaging.
